I happened to pick this book up in the middle of a pretty severe book-hangover, so I found it a little hard to make myself trudge along through it. The annoying character of Zeke didn't really help things. Briar's character and sections in the book are by far the most interesting part of the book. She's a stunningly flawed, powerful, dangerous woman, which I adore. I'd love to see more of her, so I was disappointed to learn that she won't be having any major roles in the following editions to the series.
Overall, I enjoyed it, even though I had a hard time getting through it. That was my own fault.
